| * Spend time with others.
* Help your co-workers as much as possible by sharing feelings and checking out how they are doing. * Give yourself permission to feel rotten and share your feelings with others. * Keep a journal; write your way through those sleepless hours. * Do things that feel good to you. * Realize those around you are under stress. The Nutrition Almanac recommends supplementing your diet with Vitamin c, Vitamin B2, and Vitamin B6, Calcium and Magnesium. * Don�t make any big life changes. * Do make as many daily decisions as possible which will give you a feeling of control over your life, (i.e., if someone asks you what you want to eat, answer them even if you�re not sure.) Stress Relievers Need a quick or not so quick stress-break? Are you fresh out of ideas? Try one of these: Angry/talk to a friend about it. * Apologize for a mistake * Meditate * Stand up and stretch * ASK FOR HELP * TELL some �I love you.� * Stop and look out the window. * Call up an old friend. * Run * Watch a good movie. * Count to ten or 1000--before exploding * Count your blessings�make a list. * Do one thing at a time. * Cut back on caffeine. * Dance * Eat an orange slowly segment by segment * Get a pet * Daydream * Get a Massage * Change coffee break to exercise break. * Hug a tree or hug someone you love. * Sit by a fire. * Get up 15 minutes early. * Go for a brisk walk, swimming or go to work a different way. * Laughing at something you did. * Play with your pet. * Wear earplugs w hen it gets noisy. * Smell a rose * Listen to birds * Learn to say NO * Forgive someone. * Practice laughing out loud. * Make time for PLAY * Watch a cloud for 5 minutes * Walk barefoot in the grass. * Look at the big picture. Look closely at a flower or blade of grass. Look off into the distance. |
