Oh! Want to know the basics that Harry and Draco might know? They are members of the Order, after all. Featuring today, in honor of the completion of Bonjour, France!, I'm going to give a brief lesson in French.

If you have an important mission in France, and find yourself at a loss of the language. With no handy wand at hand, then recall your lessons here! XD

Now before you lose yourself in the mood.. grin.. I'd like to mention that I take French 2 right now. So I'll be teaching you from French 1. Hah! >_<...

    Lesson 1: Greetings and Manners

You'll need to know greetings, my student. And greetings is what you shall learn first. Remember these, memorize them really. It just may show whether you are friendly or not to the people. You may need the different language to mask your dislike if you are speaking to a deatheater.

When greeting a friend in French, you say Salut or Bonjour. Salut is a les formal way of saying hello.

    • When greeting an adult in French, you say Bonjour with the person's title. You do not use the person's name with the title.

The following are abbreviations for these titles:
    • M. - Monsieur
    • Mme - Madame
    • Mlle - Mademoiselle

You aren't an Order member if you don't practice politeness! This will help you use your powers of persuasion on an unsuspecting muggle. Why? What if you need to infiltrate a building? You can't very well sweet talk a guard if you don't speak their language, much less be rude about it. And I highly doubt that knocking them is very nice either..-_-..

    • Please
    • Formal:S'il vous plait
    • Informal: S'il te plait
    • Thank You
    • Formal & Informal: Merci
    • You're welcome
    • Formal: Je vous en prie
    • Informal: Je t'en prie

    Lesson 2: History & Art

Now that you know the basics, you can speak French fluently! XD How? Grab your wand, point to yourself and say:

    Apello phaselus!

If it has worked as I hope, then you can continue the lesson in French! D'accord? XD

Chaque socit a sa culture. La culture d'une socit s'exprime par sa langue, sa religion et ses arts. La culture est l'ensemble des structures sociales, intellectuelles et artristiques qui caractrisent une socit. Il y a de--

    A moment! >_<...

Are you telling me the spell didn't work!!? Are you a muggle or squib!!?

Just kidding. I was afraid the spell didn't work, it is a tricky one. Unfortunately, that blows all my prepared french lessons out the window. Merde..

GAH! That's one French word I don't want you to know! XD Moving on, more lessons will be up soon!
