- The GeoGuide
- This program has been phased out as part of the new Yahoo! GeoCities advertising program. It will be replaced by a Yahoo! GeoCities banner exchange. Fortunatly the ex-guide will still maintain its web page functions; however, advertising will appear on your site.
- A Guestbook
- These are very popular in the world of the web, lets people leave you a message on a web page and lets people see what others have told you. It is kind of like a registry of many people who have visited your page. Setup is a brease, just go to the GeoCities Guestbook page for more info!
- Search Engines
- Search Engines, the web would be almost impossible to find things in without these, but how can you put one on your page? It really is quite easy, most search engines have codes that you can put right on your page from them, if they don't you can put their form on your page by copying it right out of the source code. I would check to see if they have the option to have them send you the code first as getting the code the other way can take quite a bit of work.

Want To Join GeoCities Broadway?
Before you decide to join Broadway you will probably want to ask yourself a few questions.
- Do you have an idea for your homepage?
- It is all good and well to want a homepage, but first you need an idea for it. Sooo many homepages on the web are there just for people to say "I have a homepage", but nobody wants to see a homepage that is just there for the sake of being on the web and has nothing of any use to anybody. GeoCities makes it easy for you to pick an idea or theme, simply look at the many GeoCities neighborhoods and find a topic that interests you and build on it.
- Does your idea fit GeoCities Broadway?
- If you already have an idea and want to join Broadway, then you should make sure that it fits our theme (drama and the performing arts) if not, once again check out the neighborhood directory to find one that would better suit your page and move in there.
Once you have your idea you should build your page, if you don't know HTML you can look at the source code for pages and learn how html works by changing it. There are also many books available that are quite good and teach you HTML. If neither of these suit you, you can find quite a few tutorial sites on the web that will give you step-by-step html advice. And finally, if none of the above is really your cup of tea, there are many programs that will do the HTML for you, all you have to do is design it.

Search GeoCities
GeoCities has a search engine that you can use to look for pages that fit your interests. It is also very handy if you have a friend with a GeoCities page and you can't quite remember their URL.
