Mira Pines Camping Community

Dear Campers and Parents:

     The Camping Committee of Sydney Presbytery regrets that Mira Pines Christian Centre is unable to operate summer camp this summer. This has come about as the Knox United Church, the Landlord, has stated that the lease with the Presbytery is null and void and will not allow the Camp committee to have access to the camp. The Presbytery will continue to work to resolve this concern, but at this time the 2007 camping season at Mira Pines will not take place.

     The Camping Committee apologizes to applicants for student jobs at Mira
Pines summer camp, to parents and young people who planned to attend camps in July and August, and to volunteers who were prepared to help out at the youth camps for any hardship or inconvenience this may cause.

     Although we are unable to operate at Mira Pines Camp, we have rented Camp Bretondean for three weeks and we will operate three co-ed camps for this year only and we hope you will join us. Feel free to have your registration form photocopy as many times as you need and invite your friends to come.
