Mira Weber and Jeroen Verschelling sail with the Nausikaä to the Mediterranean. On the trip other people will join us. Ton Verschelling, father of Jeroen will join us with the crossing of the Bay of Biscay, from England to Spain is the first person the join us on board in August 2001.



Jeroen Verschelling (’69) Mira Weber (’74)
Grew up sailing in Zeeland. Met Jeroen on her first sailing trip in 1996.
Spent one year sailing on the Mediterranean with parents and sister when he was 17. Took sailing classes in Germany in small open boats and a navigation course in Utrecht
Has sailed races in New York, on the IJsselmeer and was navigator in IJmuiden – Gijon 2000. Has sailed in Iceland, South Africa and the Wadden zee.
the summer of 2000, Mira and Jeroen sailed with Nausikaä to Helgoland (photos above).
Works as a consultant/ project manager on solar energy and energy efficiency projects with Ecofys International Projects. Has her own consultancy called AgeConsult and works as a coordinator of projects for elderly people with the Thuiszorg Zoetermeer.
