The Weather forecast on our route

Nausikäa, a 1970 Dufour Arpege, has proven to be a good boat. Her previous owners took her across the Atlantic to the Caribbean on a 3 year trip. Despite her age and her modest size (9.15m x 3m x 1,45m), she has everything we need: a chart table, a galley, 3 beds and a double bed and a lot of storage. Our Nausikäa is well equipped:

Galley Navigation Safety< Propulsion Misc.
Kerosene cooker GPS Life lines and life raft Main sail  (17 sq meter) Folding dinghy with sail and oars
Fridge Log Hand- + electric pumps Rolling reef genua (30 sq meter) 3 anchors (CQR, 2 x Danforth)

Lots of storage for food Electronic& wind pilot Rockets and flares 15 HP Ruggerini diesel engine Mast steps up to the spreaders

Our Nausikäa is named after a character from Homers Odyssee: she is the princess that finds and takes care of Odysseus when his ship is wrecked and he is washed ashore on the island of the Fajakes.
