| Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang finished 3rd in the Free Skate and won the
silver medal at China's Ninth National Games Sunday night. He fell on his 3rd quadruple jump attempt during the Free Skate. Chengjiang Li won the silver medal and Yunfei Li

| Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang finished 2nd in the Short Program at
China's Ninth National Games Saturday night. Chengjiang Li won the Short Program and Yunfei Li finished 3rd in the Short Program. After the interpreitve program and the Short

| Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang is the leader after the interpretive program at
China's Ninth National Games which began Friday night. He skated to slow-motion piano music and received the highest marks from the judges in the mens

| 2001-2002 Grand Prix Assignments |
| Monday, July 23, 2001 - Min Zhang will be competing at 2 Grand Prix events
next season. He will be competing at Trophee Lalique in Paris, France from November 14-18, and at the NHK Trophy in Kumamoto, Japan from November 29-December

| Monday, July 23, 2001 - Min Zhang finished 15th in his first trip to the World Championships
in 7 years. He had a good qualifying round where he finished 6th in his group. However, he had problems in his Short Program where he finished
17th and in his Free Skate where he finished 15th. Min landed a quadruple jump in each phase of the competition, and despite finishing 15th,
China still has 3 spots for the men at the 2002 Olympics and Min hopes to be on the 2002 Olympic team. |
