Min Zhang is the 2000 Four Continents silver medalist, 1994 Asian Champion, and the 1994 Chinese National Champion. In 1994 he went to the Olympic Games in Lillehammer where he finished 20th and the World Championships where he finished 17th. Since 1994 he had disappeared from the international scene, until 1999 where he finished 4th at the first ever Four Continents Championships in Halifax, Canada. At the 1999 Four Continents Championships Min became the first skater ever to land a quadruple jump in the Short Program at an ISU competition. He has won the Chinese National Championship only in 1994, but since then he has won many silver and bronze medals at the Chinese National Championships. He hopes to have a great season this year by competing in his first Grand Prix events of his career and he hopes to make the 2002 Chinese Olympic team.

Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang finished 3rd in the Free Skate and won the silver medal at China's Ninth National Games Sunday night. He fell on his 3rd quadruple jump attempt during the Free Skate. Chengjiang Li won the silver medal and Yunfei Li won the bronze medal. For more information, click here.
Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang finished 2nd in the Short Program at China's Ninth National Games Saturday night. Chengjiang Li won the Short Program and Yunfei Li finished 3rd in the Short Program. After the interpreitve program and the Short Program, Min Zhang is currently in 1st place. Tuesday, August 14, 2001 - Min Zhang is the leader after the interpretive program at China's Ninth National Games which began Friday night. He skated to slow-motion piano music and received the highest marks from the judges in the mens event. In 2nd place after the interpretive program is Yunfei Li and in 3rd place is Chengjiang Li.
