On July 8th, Columbiana County's
Morning Journal featured a front page article about Binky Patrol. The article is wonderful! It was
written by Terri Staley and in my opinion is the best article yet!

On July 19 - 22 we participated in the Salem Jubilee. At this event we held an opportunity drawing
for two handmade blankets, a get-a-way basket, and a various gift certificates. Tickets are still
available for this drawing. They are $1 each or 5 tickets for $3. Please contact Brandy if you
are interested in selling or purchasing a ticket.
We also hosted the "Color A Quilt" at the Jubilee. Although we had little success
raising money at this three day event (less than $50), we definately had great success getting the community involved in
coloring the plain fabric squares. The display of colors is wonderful! I was amazed over how
much time and effort the children and adults, (YES ADULTS TOO!) spent decorating the squares!

Ok, for those of you who know me, you know I can be quite silly. For one of my college
classes we had to make a commercial. I choose to make one about Binky Patrol. I wanted to
share the poem with you! If you are

We make blankets,
and give them away.
To help brighten a child's rainy day.
Binkies are made
with lots of love.
They are sewn, crocheted and quilted for fun. Our binkies come straight from the
