How it all Started
It all started when I was young and watched "Balto" the movie. It was the first dog team who ran the Iditarod to
save Nome, Alaska from diphtheria. I thought it was amazing! I want to one day finish the Iditarod dog race... it's my
dream.
As I got older I started going with friends to dog shows and doing agility with other peoples dogs and I had a lot of fun.
But I wanted my own registered dog, so I would be able to compete in dog shows and be able to start
mushing (dog sledding). So I saved my pennies and searched all over the Internet to find the right breeder. After
searching for about one year... I found the perfect puppy. Her name is Kyra - Mishka Sno Bizzness. The breeder I went to, was
perfect for what I wanted. I wanted this puppy to be able to pull a dog sled and be able to compete in shows. Now
Kyra is a lead dog on my little team and does a heck of a job! Also she completed her Canadian championship, and I
am so proud of her!
After Kyra got her championship, I got her hips(OFA) and eyes(CERF) cleared. I decided to breed her at 2 1/2 years
old to this stunning wolf gray stud, Kanyn - Kynortuk Howling Spirit. He was everything the standard asks for. 61 days later.... Kyra gave birth to nine beautiful little pups. I had already sold my litter before they were born, so I knew
they were going to very good homes. I ended up keeping one big wolf/sable male, Thor -Milkyway Thunder God. And
my boyfriend, Danny MacMillan, he kept a handsome wolf gray male as well (Cosmo - Milkyway Arctic Moon). They are now up for stud service. They have their Eyes CERF and Hips OFA. They are also working on getting their championships.. Now all 3 mals pull sleds, compete in dog shows, back pack, go hiking, running... but they don't like to swim.
We have just added a new baby female to our family on Nov. 16th /05. She came all the way from Georgia State. She is Black and white with a full raccoon mask. We will be showing her as well.
Possibly later, when her hips(OFA), elbows, eyes (CERF), and Thyroid is clear, we will consider breeding her too. But
we will wait until she is a champion... |
