The first agility school in Perm was created in 1992.
The championships of Russia are carried out since 1994. Perm teams from year to year
occupied prize-winning places, in personal event many of Perm agility folks also became the prize-winners.

and second prize-winner in mini.
In personal event, in a class mini, Champion became Anna Polezhaeva with Sheltie " Lis iz Grafskogo Pomestia ".
Group "B" (for dogs of not having pedigrees and young dogs) has won Varvara Kataeva
with Sheltie "Justas", and the third place was occupied by one more Perm woman: Angelina Katutis with a poodle "Dunia". In the standard
in group "B " second was Olga Tebenkova with the cross-breed "Gera".
Beside Moscow and Perm agility schools are in the Vyksa (and other parts of Nizniy Novgorod
area), Saint- -Peterburgh, Cherepovets, Samara, Vologda, Ekaterinburgh and so on.
Till January 1, 2001 competitions were carried out in two classes: mini - up to 40 cm and standard - more than 40
cm height.
The first agility World Championship was held in 1996 in Switzerland, 88 sportsmen from 22 countries participated. The champion of the world in
standard agility became a team of France, silver prize-winner - Italy, bronze - Spain. The team of Russia acted only in the standard and has occupied a high seventh place.
Mini agility was won by a team of Denmark, second there was a team of Finland, third - Belgium.
The second Championship of the world passed in Denmark in 1997. The champion of the world in
standard agility became a team of Switzerland, silver prize-winner - Netherlands, bronze - Denmark. The
mini-agility was won by a team of Denmark, second there was a team of Finland, third - Norway. The team of Russia acted only in the standard and was penultimate -
21-th.
In 1998 the Championship of the world was carried out in territory of former Yugoslavia - in Slovenian city Maribor.
Team event of the standard have won France, Denmark and Germany (Russia 20-th of 21 team); in mini USA, Denmark and Finland (Russia last -
15-th).
In personal event in the standard three of the prize-winners were: Claude Singy (Switzerland) with Tervueren, Wilco van Tellingen and Henrie van Steenis (both Holland, Border collie). Best of the Russians K. Remizov (Vyksa of the Nizhniy Novgorod area, GSP) was
29-th. For those, who is going to read further, we shall note, that 30-th became the French Christine Charpentier...
Among mini the prize-winners became Marjut Pulli (Finland, Sheltie), Mika Matto (Finland, Welsh-terrier) and Peregrina Saavedra Garsia (Spain, Sheltie). Two next years put forward the different champions of the world, but only from this three! The best Russian V. Maslikhin (Vyksa, Sheltie) was twentieth.
In 1999 the fourth Championship of the world in German city Dortmund has brought success
among mini-teams to the French, Danes and Finns. Russia was 12-th of 16 teams. The
team standard was won by Germany, second there was a France and third Sweden. Russia became 15 of twenty three teams.
In personal event the situation began gradually to be stabilized. The standard
has won Christine Charpentier (France, Border collie). The prize-winners became Guy Blancke (Belgium, Groenendael) and Sylvia Vaanholt (Germany, Border collie). Best Russian personal result in the standard has appeared V. Maslikhin (Vyksa, Malinois), acting with two dogs - 34-th place.
In mini agility a beautiful victory has gained Mika Matto (Finland, the Welsh-terrier), and company to
him on a pedestal of honor have made M-B Cone Petersen (Denmark, Sheltie) and Janne Karstunen (Finland, Border-terrier). Best on that moment the result in a history of the Russian agility has shown V. Maslikhin (Vyksa, Sheltie) - 8-th place.
This is V. Maslikhin with his both dogs:

The championship of the world of 2000 was carried out in Helsinki. In the standard French dominated. They with enormous advantage (more than two seconds) have won team struggle (prize-winners there were Dutch and Belgian) and have occupied top two steps of a pedestal of honor in personal championship. The second year in succession has won Christine Charpentier, second became Patrick Servais (both France), the third place was occupied by the representative of Luxembourg Hinky Nickels; all prize-winners acted with BC.
Russian team in 1999 and 2000
included two young BC (one per year). They were not successful yet, but this
is the sole way to become strong in the future. One of the BC's handlers Marina
Serova is pictured below:
In 2000 the Moscow selectors of a National team of Russia at last have decided to include in structure of a National team of Russia vice-Champion of Russia 1999 and 2000 Olga Tebenkova with the German Shep "Laky". At the Championship of the world in Helsinki the handler from Perm was absolutely best among the Russians, having overcome all four (two personal and two team) courses without the penalty. She has brought in the greatest contribution in engaged by a National team of Russia 10 places and was best in personal championship - 17-th. This result became a holiday for Perm agility people, having left them, the truth to be perplexed, why a National team of Russia till mini-agility again has appeared is not necessary Anna Polezhaeva, which and up to a victory on a Championship of Russia - 2000 repeatedly was the prize-winner of similar competitions. Look at this pictures! Perm handler Olga Tebenkova in Helsinki:

In mini strongest there were owners of WC. They confidently have won
team championship (second there were Americans, and third
Czechia), and in personal event have missed it would seem a correct victory...
Champion became Peregrina Saavedra Garsia (Spain, Sheltie), second - Marjut Pulli (Finland, Sheltie), third - author of the main surprise of a Championship Francisco Munoz Canovas (Spain... Yorkshire terrier!!!).
And again leader of the Russian team has acted successfully! Svetlana Tumanova from Moscow (Mittelspiz) has occupied the fourth place, having conceded in struggle for bronze only 0,06 sec.
But Russian team has failed, having occupied 16-th place from 18 teams, that with such leaders, as Tumanova and Maslikhin looks obvious failure. It was necessary only to expose stable, let and making a concession in speed to the leaders, third number.
This is Svetlana Tumanova, running in Helsinlki:
It is necessary to note, that annually amount of the Border collies and Shelties in first ten results, accordingly, standard and mini, changes from 5 up to 8 dogs. If Russia want to compete with the leaders of world agility on equal, it is necessary increase amount of dogs of these breeds in the country.
