Mikimaro stuff!
This is the small collection of
Mikimaro/Sotsugyo M items that I've been able to get my greedy little
paws on, to give you an idea of what's out there.
The manga! Of course, this is
where it all started from. There are 5 volumes of Sotsugyo M, by Yukiro
Sugisaki, and 4 volumes of Sotusgyo M+, which was done by someone else
(whose name escapes me right now....). With a total of 9 SotsuM volumes
out there, I have...all of them! ^__^ My favorite would
have to be Sotsugyo M volume 4 (love the first story), with Sotsugyo M+
volume 2 in a close second.
E.M.U music cds! Ok, ok...so
technically they're not Mikimaro or Sotsugyo M related.... But E.M.U and
Sotsugyo M are so closely linked it's hard not to give mention of one
when speaking about the other. E.M.U used the SotsuM boys on a few of
their album covers, and on their first album Sakaguchi Daisuke's solo
song even started out with him yelling "Mikimaro! Utamasu"
(meaning "Mikimaro sings!") Of these, I have their first
and last albums ('Girl' and 'Ore-tachi no Sotsugyo')...but nothing in
between. But then...I have the Memorial Box set, so it doesn't
matter... ^_~
Character single cd! Each of
the Sotsugyo M boys got their own single cd (and there was also one
group single). Each has a solo song and a mini speaking part. I only
happen to own Mikimaro's single (go figure....). The song on it, 'Hadashi
no Rainy Day', has got to be my favorite of all songs sung by
Daisuke/Mikimaro; it's not his usual genki self, but has a touch of
sadness to it... (or maybe it's just the way he sings out "I'm
cryin!") It's a very nice song. The drama track...sounds like a
moment in the life of Mikimaro. I couldn't tell you for sure, since I
don't speak Japanese ^_^º ...but it's a lot of fun to hear that
oh-so-adorable voice. But still...like the song, the speaking part also
has a hint of sadness or loneliness to it.
The novels! Aside from the
manga, there are also Sotsugyo M and Sotsugyo M+ novels. I'm not sure
how many there are, and I myself only have one (Sotsugyo M Vol. 2).
And...I can't read it.... (but I will someday! ^_^º) The highlight of
the novel was that it also had a few pictures of the E.M.U members in
it; I didn't expect that at all, but it was quite a pleasant surprise!
Drama CDs! After the manga, the thing that most makes
Sotsugyo M what it is is the drama CDs. There's...a whole
bunch ^_^º . Of them, I have the 4 'M ni Makasero!'
CDs and the 'Touki Tabidachi' fantasy drama, plus a few G.I.Zoku (long
story... ^^*) Radio DJ recordings. I must say, I love 'Makasero!'
volume...four I think it is, when Mikimaro says
"Arai-kun...sexy...." ^_________^
Pencil boards! Also known as shitajiki (or something like
that..). I know there are at least two (since I have 2), and I've searched the two
largest conventions in America to find them...coming up empty-handed
each time. I finally got my clutches on one at a tiny little
first-time con... Yaoi-con, actually.. ::laughs:: And
another at another smallish con.
E.M.U videos! This is another one that might not technically
count...but it goes back to that E.M.U/M link. Their final event
was for both combined anyway, and at the very end of the video it shows
a Sotsugyo M drama performance live on stage. In their First Live
they also did a SotsuM drama. ^_^ Of 7 E.M.U videos (counting the
DVD), I have 6. ^_____^ (unless you count bootlegs... ^^*)
Voice message singles! Each character also got a single of voice
messages, which are just tracks of them saying...stuff. ^,^ There
are, like, answering machine messages and wake-up calls and all kinds of
cute stuff. Of these I only have Nakamoto's... (pardon my Canna
obsession.. ^^*) But I have heard all of the messages on
Mikimaro's CD, and they're all super cute. ^__^ Especially his
wake-up message. ^,^
Stationary! Yaaaaaaaa!!! I can't believe I found
this!! ^^ Another Yaoi-con treasure, it comes with paper
that has the boys on it and 5 envelopes featuring them. Of
course...I have absolutely no intention on ever using it. ^^ It's
still in the plastic wrapping.
What a haul! ^^ Ah, and, just for the record...I have some posters
too (including one signed by Hikaru Midorikawa! ^_^), but...they're too
big to scan. ^,^* |
