I left Japan on July 16th of this year. I left behind my country, family, friends, school and so on which I love very much. Nevertheless, why did I come to America? My dream was to study abroad, and I wanted to learn English. My hometown, Okinawa, has many military bases. We can see Americans in every part of our city. I became interested in English, and I took an English course at my high school in Okinawa. Then I decided to study abroad. I arrived at Menlo College in California on July 16th. I studied English there for about a month. There were exchange students from many countries as well as many Japanese students. I made many friends from all over the globe; China, Uruguay, France and more. It was a grand experience! Now, I am in wonderful Idaho, and I am very excited to be attending Eagle High School! |
