The Site

Spoke again to english partnerships who seemingly do not know where the site is that we want to use. Could be promising. However, they will tommorrow get back to me after i sent them some information on where the site is. If after the bad news about the liscencing we have to do this even next year, it could be that the site has gone. Due to more development. The initial idea of the event came from the land and its fantastic shape. But either way we will keep you posted on wether we get permission to use the land.26/07/04

The law

All of those interested in the event, it looks like its going to have to be called off. Baically, the lisencing regulations are stopping this from going ahead, even thought it says in the regulations of public lisencing WAIVER OF RULES 27 In any particular case, any of these Rules may be waived, altered or modified by the Committee or by an officer of the Council acting under delegated powers. After speaking to the lisencing officer, it was decided that we could infact get everythign done in time for the event, which meant 28 days notice to the public, and all the health and saftey planning done. WE could not however get the case to the lisecning commitee as the next availably date the 10th of august is full. The liscening officer however did see my side of the argument and is going to the chairman tommorrow to ask for special consideration. I was hoping that if we could get enough names of people onto my website before tommorrow afternoon then maybe that will sway his opinion. Its basically the only chance we have of this even happening this year. If not we can do it in Octber! LOVELY! Or next year maybe June or July.
