Welcome to the rock the amp website. Rock the amp is the name of a gig that is currently being planned to go ahead at the end of August.This is to be a completley non-profit gig. Neither the bands nor the promoters (us) want to make any money from it. Originally the gig was intended to be free, and that may still happen, however due to mounting legal and health and saftey costs, the gig may require a small entry fee. Probably less than 2 pounds.

The event will take place at a venue in Appleton, commonly known as the Amphitheatre. It is currently an unused field near Applton Cross just off the B5356 going to Appleton Thorn. The appeal of the venue is its unique shape, pictures of the site are available under the link "stuff" above.

Rock the Amp is currently in its planning stages, it still requires funding and the aqusition of a Entertainment licence. However things are constantly moving forward, and things are starting to look brighter for the mini-festival

Some of the biggest bands in the local area have showed great interest in playing, and we hope to reveal names as soon as possible, so keep checking the NEWS section for updates.....
