Episode Synopsis:
Dr. Brown confronts his moral and professional issues when a pregnant 18 year old and her father come to him for guidance. Meanwhile, Ephram is humiliated in front of the whole school when his date ditches him to make out with her boyfriend; and Amy and Colin have a huge fight when Amy chooses to console Ephram against Colin's wishes.
I was very touched by the episode this week. It was very good... everything was excellent! I know that many people frown at abortion, but it's as real as anything, and there isn't any reason it shouldn't be show on TV. And, it showed that people have moral problems with it. Just like when Dr. Abbot, at the end, goes into the confessional and he says "Forgive me Father, for I have sinned." I'm not Catholic, but that just almost made me cry. This town is so filled with moral problems, and everything. It's very real.
First off, I'm very glad Andy is realzing(with help from Nina) that Delia is growing up. She's going to have questions, and with her being very open, she's going to ask them. It's going to be a rough time with this, but Andy is grasping it and things will be ok.
Then, I was so touched when Amy chose to leave Colin and console Ephram. Sorry, but Colin is being an ass! Amy is realizing that other people need her too... not just Colin. Edna's talk really helped Amy realize this. I loved it when Ephram and Amy danced... however, I know they won't get together anytime soon. Once Amy finds out that Colin is hurt again, I bet she's going to go into that tunnel state of only Colin. It will be awhile before Amy realizes Ephram and her are meant to be.
Nina and Andy are so going to get together someday too! This is so obvious. Nina is like a mom to them, and Dr. Brown needs someone like that around. Something will happen with them... not soon however; we have to remember Nina is still married! But... we'll see next episode where she finds out Carl is cheating on her!
No one knows about Colin yet... I wonder what Amy will do when she finds out? She might become Colin's slave again. I think she will. She'll go back into that state of mind where she has to do everything for him. I also think Brite, Ephram, and whoever else have went against Colin, will be devastated. They knew all along that someting like this would happen though. He's not the same guy everyone used to know. He has major problems.
I also wonder what happened to Laynie? It never showed that Ephram knows that she's gone. I mean he would have to if she hasn't been around, but it never showed that. I hope she comes back. Maybe for summer vacation. We will find more dark stuff about her. She mentioned many times that she has experienced a lot of pain. Something major is up with her and we'll find out about that too.
The whole town will find out about the abortion... but it will be drowned out by Colin. Everyone will go back into that state they were in when he was gone. He's extremely ill- they will all realize this. And... the question is... Will Dr. Brown perform a risky operation on Colin or what?

A rerun appeared this week, the episode where Amy and Ephram receive their first kiss in the mines and it's Dr. Brown's anniversary.
However, from the last new episode where Ephram confronts his father about cheating on his mother. Ephram finds out the horrible truth that it really was his mother who cheated not his father. Amy and Colin are together at her house when he throws up. Amy confronts her father about Colin's health which leads to many disputes. Dr. Brown is dismissed as Dr from the Harts because they don't want to deal with the doctor visits and things.
In this episode, and past, the show keeps hinting that Amy and Ephram are meant to be together. On one episode(A recent one, I do know that) Amy says something to Ephram about finding the "one." She says it's hard, weird, something of the sort(It has been 3 weeks since I saw this, sorry!). Well, you know they are meant to be together! They won't be however. Amy likes Ephram, she knows it, but she does not want to hurt Colin. She knows he is going through a lot and she cannot tell him she likes Ephram. Things are too complicated for her to share her real feelings.
Ephram and Laynie will be off for a while. Laynie knows that Ephram and Amy like eachother, and she knows to stay out of the picture. Plus, from what we know, she is going back to boarding school.
Another thought on Laynie...
When her and Ephram go on their date, at the end when they are saying bye at her door, she is saying how Ephram didn't even measure on her scale of bad(something of that sort). Well, she begins to say something twice, but then refrains. My guess: she's hiding something. She has a secret; she's darker than we think.
Also, Ephram and Colin will have their disputes. Colin may become more aware of the current situation with Ephram and Amy. I can guess that Ephram and Colin will have a fight.
