This includes the Season Premiere and the episodes following.

Synopsis: Could anything else happen?  Colin died during the surgery.  Dr. Brown is blamed for his death and says he gave up.  Delia finally has girlfriends and dont we all remember when we were like that!  Ephram and Amy have classified themselves as just friends while Ephram longs for her.  Amy has become into drinking and party going with Laynie who are trying to sort out their problems the wrong ways.  Bright has been kicked off the football team because of grades.  Nina has told Dr. Brown about her and Carls situation no one else. Dr. Abbotts sister has moved back home and they are going to work together at his office.  And, a new baby sitter has forced Andy and Ephram to face each other.

Amy: Wow.  Imagine being 16 and dealing with what she does.  I think I might drink too.  Anyways she clearly is messed up and feeling guilty with the whole Colin ordeal.  Amy is blaming herself for not telling people sooner that he was sick.  She feels she killed him.  Her and Laynie have now resulted to drinking and partying.  She is trying to push Ephram away.  She wants to be close, but she feels guilty.  They are playing as friends but lets hope it gets closer.  It will be a long time, however, because Amy needs to let go the fact that she did not kill Colin: it was an accident.  And, we truly do see she is not ready to date when she goes out with that guy just to prove to Brite.  She really isnt ready, and we will see some very scary things coming from her.  Its obvious.

Ephram: Having come in at the middle of a lifetime crisis for Amy the previous year, Ephram is still trying to cope with his feelings for her.  Now that Colin is gone, Amy is a touchy subject.  He knows what he wants, but it is so out of reach.  He feels very protective over her.  We see this is the last episode where he follows her to the party with Bright to keep her from doing anything stupid.  Ahh, how sweet!  He is in a delirious obsession with the piano now too.  That Julliard teacherdidnt you just want to strangle him? really pushed Ephram (with a little help from his dad) to succeed no matter what.  It is pretty obvious that he will be picked up with a scholarship to somewhere probably not Julliard!  We will continue to see Ephram pine for Amy and slave over the black and white keys.  However, I think the new baby sitter and him will like each other.  I think he really will like her a few episodes from now.  She tells the truth, and he likes that.

Dr. Brown:  The whole town is against him.  He knows it was not his fault for Colins death but he was in his hands and he let him fall.  The everlasting question is Did he save Colin or did he kill him?  That is for you to decide.  What ever it may be, he has to deal with being an outcast.  It will take a long time for people to trust him.  But, as we have seen, Dr. Abbott pushed him to believe this is a chance for him to fight back.  Andy was letting people believe he was responsible for Colin when he became a Hermit for such a long time.  We have seen Andy overcome this by tricking people back into his office (twice!  The girl with the breast enhancements and the parents!) He is realizing his power.  This is a good thing.  Dr. Brown has a soft spot for Nina.  It is there and now he knows Carl is gone.  Nina has to heal though.  It is sort of mirroring Ephram and Amy.  We know, deep own, they are meant to be!  The town will learn to forgive as he lets them.  But, more problems arise as we see Nina wanting to be close with Dr. Brown but he cant let go of the past.  However, he puts his wedding ring down and does not wear it for once.  This is a big step for him.

Nina: She has turned down the divorce papers.  Its very hard for her to suddenly let go of Carl.  For one, it would definitely mean he is gay and free to be it, and two, it would mean her marriage is done.  Its really bearing down on her and Dr. Brown isnt helping, but we see him holding back a little.  It will take her a little while to divorce Carl.

Delia: She is sick and tired of the fighting in the household.  Shes growing up and realizing it is not right.  She has finally found a friend within the babysitter, but Ephram and Andy want to take her away just because she told them off.  Delia will have to come to terms with a lot of things.  She is very young and growing up without a mother.

Dr. Abbot: We are starting to see him soften a little bit.  He still holds firm on a lot of things, but he is now accepting his sister, however, we will most likely see more disagreements.  He is not as worried about Amy, he really does not see her problems, but we are seeing he really cares about his kids.  He really is a softhearted person underneath.
