back to
April
Yes they even dance around the May Pole here in the States.
In downtown Dawsonville they pranced about just like we do at "Home".
The garden is taking shape now, Thanks to Mike's hard work. We have Squash, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Okra and stuff planted. Lets hope the deer don't taste them 1st.
We came back one night and discovered the shoes we had left outside, were scattered all over the field. Infact we never did find one sandel, what we did find were chewed up. Possums we were told. It left some white hairs on the mat. So I can feel another trip to The Mall coming on to buy more shoes.
It's still a chilly 50F 10c in the mornings, with a high of 85/30 during the day, clear and sunny
I spotted the culprit that stole our shoes and it was a possum. About 3.30am I woke to scratching
outside and went out to confront the beast, he wasn't afraid of me at all until I threw the broom at him.
The garden it looking great, lets hope possums don't like green stuff.
They're making hay here, big bales as well, although the fields are small and hilly around here.
At home the sheep are being sheered, no sheep here not popular in the states anywhere.
F.A Cup Final Liverpool 2 Arsenal 1  !!!!  (Football, Real Football)
13th Mothers Day. Not in March like at home.
Mike played golf this week whilst I caught up on my tan, the housework can wait till it rains.
Peacocks flew in last night (18th) about 6 of them strutting across the road then perched high up in the trees and called all night, making quite a din.
We're working hard you'll be pleased to know and expecting Memorial w/end to be murder, or there will be murder following memorial w/end ......we'll see.
19th HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM.
20th IT Rained. The garden has sprung up.
As you can see I'm updating the web page instead of doing the housework.
Memorial w/end was very busy here. No busier than that.
Record numbers turned up and were entertained, then Monday morning it tipped it down,
but by 12 noon the rain had stopped and the day cleared for people to drive home.
We sat outside Sunday after our meal and watched a satellite pass over us and shooting stars stream across the clear night sky. The bonfire warming us, tree frogs croaking and humming birds diving into our new feeder. The vast majority of people were sweating on the dance floor.
