Year Preview. 2000.
April 3rd
Well the trip here was horrible.
As soon as we left Florida it started raining, and got steadily worse as we drove closer to Atlanta.
By the time we reached the Ga400 it was rush hour with thunder & lightning thrown in for good measure.
We pulled into Hidden Valley and promptly got bogged down in the slick wet red clay they call dirt around here, and it sticks to everything.
The upshot was that Ernie came to our rescue and hitched up the tractor to haul us out and deposit us on "Sunny Circle".
A week has gone by and the weather has been beautiful, soaring into the 90's (33c), drying the ground, bringing the dogwood trees into bloom and leaves budding and unfurling. Did I mention the pollen?
It has covered every surface in a fine yellow talc.

Thursday 12th at 6 oclock PM  we moved to our permanent site for the season. We can now unpack!

Another beautiful, sunny & bright day brought out loads of people from winter hibernation this w/end.
The forecast says it wont last.
Monday 16th the wind picked up & blew in rain & kept blowing, rain came and went & the wind still blew, plumetting temps into the chilly 30's overnight. We've gone from mid 30c to mid 30f in 2 days!

Monday 23rd the weather is behaving perfectly, just as the w/end approached it cleared up, the sun shone and kept shining all w/end long. We played tennis at long last, although Volleyball is more popular here.
We have dug up a patch of ground for a small garden and hope to produce tomatoes if nothing else. Mike has placed a deck and graveled a drive way we almost look too permanent! We've had a couple meals outside with friends this week and sat around a bonfire, life is good, and busy.
"The Weekest Link" has hit the TV screens here, Ann Robinson is on form.
