iPad
iPad debuted shortly after iPhone. The two devices share almost every single feature but the ability to make voice calls. You are able to make calls through FaceTime to other Apple users. FaceTime is Apple's video chatting application. iPad is the device that changed the way that the world consumes media. Many of the applications that you can download for iPhone have their own iPad versions. One of the main features that separates the two devices is the size of the iPad. iPad comes in a 9.7 inch screen. iPad like iPhone comes equipped with Apple's Safari web browser. You get a full fledged internet experience in your hands. The device even has word processing capabilities. These two features alone have allowed people to take work on the go without having to bring a laptop. The portability alone has pushed people to favor tablets and smartphones over traditional computers. There is still a need for laptops and desktops as these devices do run a fully functional operating system as opposed to the mobile devices which run Apple's mobile operating system, iOS.
iPad Pro
In November of 2015, Apple released the iPad Pro line of iPads. The first iPad Pro came with a 12.9 inch screen. The iPad Pro line was released to compete against Microsoft's Surface Tablets. The iPad Pro also introduced the Apple Pencil, which would be used to draw on the screen of the iPad and would allow for note taking. In March of 2016, Apple released their second iPad Pro that came with the original 9.7 inch screen. In the summer of 2017 Apple released the second generation of iPad Pro, this time offering the devices in a 10.5 inch and a 12.9 inch screen size option.
