Parenting is the art of hypocrisy.

If you feel that you must raise a child, understand that you will have them to yourself for only 10 to 12 years. Then their friends will take over forever.

To be a parent, you must put your child's needs above your wants.

It is outrageously selfish to force someone to exist.

Who are you to force someone to exist?

In parenthood, the good times are nice, but the bad times are devastating.

If you never have a child, all your life you'll wonder, "Should I have had a child?" However, if you do have a child, all your life you'll wonder, "Should I have had a child?"

When raising a daughter, a parent's main objective (or greatest concern) is to keep her from getting pregnant until she's married. When raising a son, a parent's main objective (or greatest concern) is to keep him out of jail.

The interesting thing about child rearing is, after four million years no one has figured out the right way to do it.

Children of the rich have only whims to live for.

It is imperative, both for society and the children, for the rich to foster in their children a deep sense of charity, especially volunteerism. Otherwise, they may grow up to be greedy, aimless, and self-centered.

Parenting is not a sideline activity, it's a full-time responsibility.

The more you try to protect your child from the realities of life, the harder it will be for them to deal with the realities of life when they become adults.

Being responsible for your own life is difficult enough. Why would you want to be responsible for someone else's life as well?

If you don't like the way the world is, then don't have children.

You can't raise a child in a big city. Big cities raise their own children.

The decisions you make as a parent will alter the course of your child's life.
