The Advanced Micro Nutrient Complex is the result of an uncompromising desire to create the single most comprehensive vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant formula we could formulate. By creating the "Complex" we wanted:
1.To take the confusion out of which of the literally hundreds of different vitamin, mineral and antioxidant supplements should be included in a daily regimen. Supplementing your diet with vitamins or minerals can be very tricky. Certain vitamins and minerals, if taken in improper amounts or in incorrect combinations, can compete with each other and even cause deficiencies. Combining the proper forms and amounts of vitamins and minerals in the proper ratios is essential to maximizing benefits from supplementation.
2.To point out that, "Optimal Health" is not just the absence of illness! We believe that optimum nutrition is the level of nutrition that will allow a person to function at the highest level possible, with vitality, energy and enthusiasm for living. In providing the proper nutrients, we empower our bodies to keep us healthier and more resistant to every day stress.
All of our vitamins are from natural sources. For the most part, the public is not aware of the fact that many products contain less expensive and less desirable synthetic vitamins. According to Dr. Theron G. Randolph, M.D., Allergist: "Synthetically derived substances may cause a reaction in a chemically susceptible person, when the same material of natural origin is tolerated despite the two substances having identical chemical structures. Only the purest, natural and highest quality ingredients are found in all Natural Science Formulations."
Another unique aspect of the "Complex" is the separation into individual caplets of vitamins and minerals. This extra bit of care assures that the vitamins and minerals don't interact with one another until they are supposed to, in your body, not in the caplet!
Our minerals are special too!
Instead of oxides and other less bioavailable mineral forms, our minerals are bound (chelated) to Krebs Cycle Intermediates. This cycle converts certain nutrients to the chemical energy that actually powers our bodies. Chelated minerals can be assimilated 3-10 times more efficiently than non-chelated forms. In addition these chelates may have an ability to chelate with and remove toxic heavy metals from our bodies. Several of the vitamins and minerals, as well as the herbal extracts found in the Complex, function as "Antioxidants". The number, quality and quantity of diverse antioxidants in the Complex, offer unsurpassed protection from "Free Radicals". In a nutshell, a free radical is a highly reactive molecule (which is missing one or more electrons) that can bind to and destroy healthy cells.
The oxidative damage from free radicals may be what causes us to age. In the body, free radicals are generated during normal metabolic processes (i.e. the oxidation of fats). Their levels are further increased by toxins in the environment, cigarette smoking, chemotherapeutic drugs, air pollutants, fried foods and alcohol, to mention a few. When exposed to these factors we need additional antioxidant support. Antioxidants are compounds, which help protect against free radical damage.
They actually tie up and neutralize free radicals. While vitamins and minerals like Vitamin C, E, betacarotene, selenium, and zinc are excellent antioxidants, the herbal extracts in the complex have constituents that have even more potent antioxidant activity than the vitamin and mineral antioxidants. (Perhaps as much as 20 to 200 times more than vitamin C and E.)
In addition, the accessory nutrients and whole food complexes like chlorophyll from wheat grass and spirulina that are added to the formula provide additional natural vitamin and antioxidant sources. Also included in the white mineral caplets are enzymes and digestive aids to further increase metabolic efficiency.
Finally, in a bottle separate from the vitamin, mineral and antioxidants, are gender specific Men's and Women's customized support caplets. For women, additional support from bioavailable forms of calcium, as well as magnesium, folic acid, boron and silica have been added. Furthermore, extra B-complex for estrogen breakdown, plus specific extracts to help maintain female hormonal and glandular balance, have been added. For men, extra support for the cardiovascular system and the male glandular system have been included.
