Nok-Bokka-Beaushoo
You may be asking yourself "Nokka  Bokka who?".  And that's understandable.  It's not the kind of word you hear very often.  The word is actually translated as "the beautiful valley" in the native tounge of the primitive people known simply as "the Nok-Bok".

The Nok-Bok were of a simple disposition.  They valued nature above all else in the world and practiced varius simple magics which most of the time seemed not much more than mind-games and parlor tricks.  They were agricultural for as far back as history can determine, but that wasn't hard for them because of the rich flood valley soil that they lived on.

After efficient food production methods had been developed, they took to philosophy and astronomy in their spare time.  The valley of Nok-Bok is surrounded by Mountains on 3 sides and the sea on the 4th.  Because of their geography, Nok-Bokkians had no contact with the outside world.  And they liked it that way.

They Began Mining for ore in the mountains to the north between 800 to 950 years ago, and had reached the equivalent of a feudal age by about 300 years ago.  The Nok-Bokkians replenished as much of the resourses that they used as possible.  To destroy the environment would be far worse than improving the quality of life.  That is why the Nok-Bok developed this proverb:  "To focus on developing one thing will detract from another.  Instead, bring them together and develop them as one."  This guided their minds whenever the beauty of their land was tainted by landslides caused by deforestation, or disease caused by improper waste disposal.  It is ingrained in the hearts of all Nok-Bokkians to this day.
300 years ago, and the great change...
