John Hopkins replacement is Jason Hughes. He will debut in the 1st episode in series 9 'The House in the Woods' as DC Ben Jones.

Series VII begins transmission in the UK. Episode 1 will be Daniel Casey's last appearance as DS Troy, and John Hopkins will join in Episode 2 as DS Dan Scott - Troy's replacement.

I have created a Midsomer Murders Fan Forum at Delphi.com. A message board where fans can go and post messages to each other about the series/actors, there is also a chat room if anyone is online at the same time and want to chat MM!! This board will only be any good if people use it, so why not pop by and check it out?
Registration with Delphi is required, but it's free and painless !! Hope to see some of you there!
Series 5 is currently being filmed and three of the titles now appear on the Episode Guide page, still trying to find out the last one, this will make a total of 23 epsiodes! John Nettles has appeared in a few UK magazine's lately and I will add those articles to the Interview Page when I have time. There is talk of ITV making a one-off special drama with John as the star, something to look forward to :-)
