This web site was designed and constructed using a borrowed copy of NetObjects Fusion, which is an HTML and web site editing program.  One of my sons used Dreamweaver for a high school project a few years ago and from what I hear Dreamweaver is preferred by power users, which I am not.  NetObjects Fusion was not too difficult for this novice to figure out and after a few spectacular crashes it works ok for me.  No doubt there is a lot of capability I’m totally unaware of though.

The host for this website is Geocities.com which is a division of Yahoo.com. We are using the free version. There are other companies that offer free hosting and most email providers offer some free space.  If you want your own domain name you have to pay extra.

If you want to try your hand at web design for a family album, work, or just for fun you can use the Geocities HTML page designer, or go to Download.com for a shareware editor, or purchase one. If you want research check out CNET.com.

In order to use Geocities you first need to sign up for a free email account with Yahoo.  Once you have that go to http://geocities.yahoo.com/v/fm.html and open the File Manager. From there you can upload files or design a website online.

Again, I’m no expert and am probably not your best resource for debugging HTML code problems.
