So you're new to the guild? That's great! Welcome! Are you a little confused, or did we not explain something? Well, that's all right too, feel free to ask us anything, but be sure to check this list first. It may have already been answered here...
What are "Guild Ranks"?
Guild Ranks are a way of listing who has given the most to the Guild by donation, service, or conduct. There is little difference among the ranks, but a higher rank does show a certain devotion or support of the Guild of Middle-earth.
How do I check my rank?
Your Rank is displayed under "Your Rank" on the Homepage of the guild, sometimes called "Guild HQ" or "HeadQuarters". It is also listed publicly on the <Members Page, next to your screenname.
How do I rise in rank?
You can rise in rank by donating to the guild (buying Bottles of Sand from the Pharmacy), providing services to the Guild (such as hosting a contest), or joining the High Council (only when positions become available).
How do I donate to the Guild?
You may donate to the Guild by going to the Guild Pharmacy and purchasing a Bottle of Sand. Your contribution will be recorded and your rank raised within a week or two.
I donated, but my rank didn't rise... What happened?
It usually takes a week or so for ranks to be processed, please be patient. If it doesn't rise soon, neomail a High Council member (There's a link to their lookups at the Guild HQ). Speed is on our side, yet we are none too swift!
Why are there no Bottles of Sand?
Be patient and more will be added soon. Be advised that the cheapest Bottles are 3000np.
How do I get on the Council?
Beg, steal, and murder!... Actually, to get on either Council (High or Sub), you must wait for a position to become available. This happens when a current Council member leaves the Guild, vacates their position, or is removed from the Council. When this happens, announcements will be made and applications will be reviewed.
Aleksandr's account has been frozen... Yes, Aleksandr has been frozen. The Council still retains all necessary powers, but we cannot remove him nor replace him, nor can we create an additional Council position to compensate.
