Soon after completing my Master's degree, I was looking for further academic challenges. I was accepted in a Master's program at Johns Hopkins University in the area of Computer Science. After talking to my previous undergraduate advisor, I realized that I was much more interested in applied computers and enrolled in my first class towards earning a second bachelors degree in computers. After completing just my first course in this new program of studies, I was approached by a small business machines store owner who was having trouble finding anyone with any programming experience in this new field of microcomputers. It was "off to the races". This was almost a decade before the IBM PC was introduced in 1982. I often lamented the fact that I had missed growing up during a period in history that fascinated me, the Industrial Revolution. To live through such a period of change and invention, to watch the world move from an agricultural to industrial society would have been both exciting and fun. I accepted the offer of that businessman and found myself involved in this thing called the Information Revolution, moving from an industrial to information based society. I got my wish after all. I find myself learning something new every day and still find it very exciting, funfilled and financially rewarding. In 1976, I bought out that small business owner and Southern Computer Services was founded. Since then I have worked with mainframe, mid-range and microcomputers, focusing mainly on micros.
Custom programming applications would include: Property Management Systems Accounting and Payroll Systems Savings and Loan System Roy Rogers Restaurant System (I actually met Roy Rogers in 1985 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. If you click on my picture, look just above the lamp for a photo of myself and Roy from that trip.) Retail Sales Systems Carpet Dealers Attorney Systems

In 1979, I started networking micros. In 1984, I began building desktop computers from component parts and also provided repair services for microcomputers and peripherals. In the late 1980's I started using the Internet. In the mid 1990's I started using the World Wide Web. In the late 1990's I developed my first Web Page. ??????
