aaa | aaa | Welcome to DayDreamer Alternative Veterinary Services! I am Micol Romano, owner and founder, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to browse my site. I am originally from Milan, Italy, and I moved to Hibbing, Minnesota at the age of 17 for a one-year, exchange student program. Little did I know that I spend the next nine years amidst Minnesota�s beauty. During my time there, I trained and raced a team of sled dogs in the John Beargrease Marathon in 2000, I rode dressage and competed in local and regional competitions, I worked several wildlife biology field jobs, and somewhere in there managed to graduate form High School, earn a BA in Biology from the College of St. Scholastica, and an AAS in Medical Technology from Hibbing Community College. During my many years spent working with animal athletes, I always wished I had the knowledge and power to soothe and alleviate their aches, as well as the knowledge to improve their performance. About this time came along my thoroughbred, and he changed my view of training and handling animals. In an effort to alleviate his back pain and, quite frankly, hoping to improve our shaky bond, I enrolled in the Equissage School of Equine Massage and became a Certified Equine and Canine Sport Massage Therapist. Around the same time, I began to re-evaluate my riding and my life, and I began my road back toward my childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian (well, I never did give it up completely!). Growing up in Italy gave me high regards for formal training and theory, and becoming an adult in the United States taught me about work ethics and working knowledge, and I combine both my backgrounds by working with animals and reading as many textbooks as possible to further my knowledge and my experiences. I am first and foremost a student of all the animals I come in contact with, and I have let them shape me into the person I am today. I am honored to have held your attention for so long!
