| Dwarf Hamsters Trecolo and Petit Loup |

| Trecolo and Petit Loup are Siberian Winter White (SWW) Dwarf Hamsters. They are cute, furry and have no tail! I have had them for several months, since I arrived in Switzerland. Trecolo is greyer and smaller than Petit Loup and is named because she has three main colours; white, grey and fawn. In fact she has more than that, but I counted all the shades of grey as one. She has a very unique colouring and it is really beautiful. Petit Loup however is a typical SWW, as her coat is almost completely white during winter except for the grey forehead patch and stripe on her back. Normally a SWW goes almost completely white during winter, but not Trecolo, she just went a lighter shade of grey! Petit Loup is named because her markings when I got her at the end of autumn were very similar to those of a wolf. Petit Loup is french, it means Little Wolf. Trecolo's name extends to tri-colour, but said with a french accent, so the I becomes and E. I have taken some photos, but they aren't developped yet. Trecolo is a real sweety, she climbs on my hand the moment it's in the cage and likes to just cuddle up and sit there. I'm gonna miss her. Petit Loup likes to poke and prod and check my hand from top to bottom and climb all over me! She also likes chewing on the cage bars, which I'm sure she does on purpose when I am there because she knows it's a noise I can't stand! But she's adorable too. |
