process for developing materials

ideally :

* sit with a group of teachers &

* think about the learners' needs & goals,

* brainstorm topics, texts, skills, tasks, & ideas,

* brainstorm possibilities for accredited learning,

* plan structure of unit/module,

* develop materials - create text, image, exercises, analytic framework for language learning

* publish materials, considering layout (paper/screen), navigation, symbols/icons and typography/font,

* evaluate & trial materials with students,

* re-draft and publish more widely
