The Michael Family TartanThanks to Stephen Michael of England, we now have our own family tartan registered with the Lord Lyon in Edinburgh, Scotland! It is important to point out that this is a family tartan, not a clan tartan in that the Michael family is not a clan in our right. Because we descend from Daniel Carmichael of Appin, we are adherents to the Clan Stewart of Appin and any accessories we wear with the Michael tartan, i.e. cap badges, clan crests, etc., should be Stewart of Appin.
