"By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest;
and third by experience, which is the bitterest." --Confucius

My personal credo is who I am now. Not who I was or who I may become. I have
learned by imitation and experience. Now I am concentrating on learning by
reflection.
I will squelch unethical behavior when I am confronted by it.
I am committed to not letting bullies get away with their bad behavior.
I appreciate the small things that I can do to help people rather than any grandiose schemes.
I have not and will not stop learning because to me it is like the “runner’s high” and it gives me a sense of euphoria.
I know that I do make a difference in this world. Whether it is helping someone to learn, sharing a laugh or providing a shoulder to cry on, I know my existence
counts.
I am committed to being supportive to the few people in my life that I hold dear and I know that that same commitment is reciprocated.
I will try not to force my belief of and excitement for constant change on other people, as I know that many people are fearful of change.
I understand that, unless we develop nanotechnology to fix our broken bodies, mine will eventually break. So I am living on the premise that I have one shot at this life and am ensuring it is my best effort.
I am already “wearing purple,” as Jenny Joseph so aptly wrote in her poem
(http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/6865/jjoseph.html
) and I will continue to eat popcorn for dinner because I can.
