Broadcasting

Throughout the 80s I was a professional broadcaster. I started as a reporter for Independent Radio News, and then became a programme host and presenter for London Broadcasting. After that I co-anchored (with the late Andrew Gardner) the nightly news programme �Thames at Six� and �Thames News� for seven years . I also researched, produced and presented a number of medical and scientific documentaries for BBC Radio 4.

More recently I have contributed to hundreds of radio and TV programmes as an expert on brain function and human consciousness. They include R4�s: �Today�, �All in the Mind�, �Woman�s Hour�, �Medicine Today� and many news and magazine programmes and single documentaries. I have also taken part in a very wide range of TV programmes, debates, panel discussions and interviews.

I occasionally work as a media trainer, in conjunction with fellow author John Illman. For more see:
