Capital of Gansu/Lanzhou
I was getting steady updated information, from friends in Gansu, then suddenly. They have all gone away, without saying anything. I hope they did not get into any trouble for helping me with "Small Town" information. Later I did find out that China does not want anyone outside of China to ask any economic type questions. Opps!
I am guilty of that to get an idea of the economy there in Gansu, I asked how many hours does the common man need to work to put a roof over his head.
No one ever gave me an answer and shortly after putting that question out to several people there, all coospondence halted!
I hope they come back, and I promise NOT to ask questions that could get them in trouble with their authorities. Mike
