| Maikel Garius - Male Elf (Daiken) Fighter 6 / Sorcerer 4 / Runeknight Guardian 10 / Warmaster 4 Alignment: Lawful Good Perhaps the most well-known legendary figure among non-humans, and the most revered warrior of the Daiken Elves, Lord Maikel Garius is strangely absent from the Human histories, which mention him only in passing as the husband of Schala Najamiil. Maikel Garius was a Sentinal of Daiken during the time period known as "The Days of Darkness" or simply "the dark". When his small border settlement was razed by the Agrios troops under Kieris Najamiil, Maikel set out for vengence but was captured and imprisoned as a gladiator for 12 years. He was rescued by Jaredeth's Riders, and joined them. Over the years he fought many battles against the oppressive Agrios and was rumored never once to have fallen in battle, though his armies may have been defeated around him. He married the human wizardess Schala, and founded the Runeknights of Enhasa to protect the newly formd Conclave of Magi. He finally confronted Kieris (now ascended to become a planeshifter) some 200 years after the forming of the conclave wielding the magic-reflecting sword known as Magebane which he forged with the help of Jaredeth the Sorcerer and Hrothgar Rungirmiir the Dwarf. Though he slew the evil Shifter, he died of his wounds. As his life drained away, he passed Magebane to his son Mavaerun, and his Shield to Rynthaellel. Though enshrined on Enhasa, when the conclave fell, his tomb was lost and many valiant elves and Runeknights have gone out to search for it and never returned... |
| Erinne Windsong - Female Elf Ranger 5 / Rogue 5 / Bloodhound 10 Alignment: Chaotic Good A secondary figure in most of the legends of Garius, Erinne the Tracker was a close companion of the elven general ever since she rescued him from the pits in Agrios along with the rest of the Riders. Erinne was known as the Mistress of Improvisation. Deathly afraid of magic for most of her life Erinne would never make use of enchanted objects, instead relying on her own skill to see her through. She fought valiantly in the magewar, serving as a scout, tracker or occasionally bounty hunter. In the final assault on Kieris's stronghold Erinne, though an getting on in years, lent her tracking skills to finding the path through the catecombs. By the time the end was in sight, she was backstabbed by Dakkon and died instantly. |
