MI-Buddah Tzu Shih Tzu

Christy Aber

Southgate, Michigan

As a Shih Tzu breeder in a world that is constantly changing,

I have changed my contract so as of 11/09/06

I now do and don't do these things:

1. I will only accept a Money Order or Pay Pal for deposits and balances.

2. Money order must be purchased from your local post office.

3. A non- refundable deposit of 1/2 of the cost of the pup will be accepted for a place on our waiting list or to hold a puppy for you that may already be born. All Deposits are non-refundable.

4. If you're here at my home the Non-refundable deposit is required that day. If your in another state you will have 5 business days from the day you decide, to mail me a Non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of the cost of the pup, to hold your place on our waiting list or hold your already born puppy. Priority Mail is the best way to get a money order to me in 5 days....its cost is only $3.80.

5. If for any reason you decide that you don't want your puppy after you have put a deposit down or the timing just isn't working out, I will keep 100% of your deposit. I however, will keep that deposit towards a future puppy with in one year, if you decide you still don't want a puppy when that year is up, then you forfiet that deposit. Be sure having a Shih Tzu puppy in your life is what you really want. There are No Cash Refunds on puppies that have been placed as well. (A Placed puppy means one that you have already picked out put a non-refundable deposit on, paid in full and/or taken home, or one that you have had me hold for serveral weeks or even months. I will Not refund your money).

6. No puppy leaves my house no younger than 8 weeks old, I know your anxcious but the only concern I have is the health of the puppy. I can't bend this rule, sorry! Note* As of 2002 I understand that it is now law not to let a pup go under 8weeks old.

7. All puppies will have at least their first set of puppy shots, worming and thoroughly vet checked before they leave my home.

8. If you are having your puppy shipped you are responsible for all shipping charges, insurance on the puppy & the cost of the travel crate. Crates cost is approx.$25.00 (the crate will be yours to keep when the puppy arrives). There is also an extra $25.00 (subject to change according to vet)health certificate fee for the vet, that is required by the airlines in order to ship your puppy. Shipping usually cost approx. $175.00 to $250 The prices vary from different airlines...I perfer using Northwest which is usually $175.00 plus insurance, For Insurance they charge $1.00 for every $200.00 of coverage, so normally that would be an extra $5.00 and 6% tax. (prices are subject to change, up to the airlines).

9. Once the puppy leaves my home and is taken to the airport and leaves the ground, I am no longer responsible, if anything happens to that puppy between here and you, you will have to take that up with the air lines themselves. (Have shipped for 12 yrs now, with 100 percent success). When flying a pup a health certificate must be issued by my vet...doing that insures that the pup is indeed healthy and free from any illiness's...That is how I guarantee that you are receiving a healhty pup.

10. AKC Registration papers:
If you have purchased a "Pet Only Puppy" for a lower cost, I will not issue you AKC papers with your puppy, I just file the puppies AKC papers in my "Pet Home Only File".
This option is to help pet homes aquire a Qauilty Shih Tzu Puppy that is affordable. All PET HOME puppies are placed at a lower price with a spay/neuter agreement, This saves you money on the cost of the puppy so that you can afford to have your puppy spayed/neutered when the time comes(6 months old).
I do this becuase I prefer placing my puppies in "Pet Homes".
If you purchased your puppy with full Registration, your AKC Papers will be mailed out to you as soon as your balance is paid in full. I use priority mail which takes 3 business days to get to you.

11. In the event that puppy is ready and papers are not in yet, you decide if you want to wait till papers come in before shipping or you can call AKC and verify that they have been submitted and are being processed. Then you can take your puppy if you feel you want...This is your call, I will hold puppy till they come or let him go upto you (Chances are puppies papers will be ready when puppy is).

12. In the event that you decide down the line you cant keep your puppy/dog I promise to help you find a good loving home for him/her.

13. I Guarantee any puppy that leaves my house will be vet checked and free from any illness, however, I do guarantee for 1 yr for genetic health problems that develope within the first year of the puppy's life. After recieving proof from your vet(at your expense...I do not refund vet bills), I will then take pup to my own vet. If you live out of state we will have to make different arrangements between us and if you need to return pup for any reason for a replacement pup, you will be responsible for all shipping for the return and for the replacement pups shipping expense's as well. In the event that the puppy dies due to geneic defect and this is proven by your vet and mine, I promise to replace that puppy with the first available puppy I have of same sex & on the same contract. If you live out of state you will be responsible for the shipping of replacement pup also. NO CASH REFUNDS. *NOTE: This has never happened in all the years that I have been breeding Shih Tzu's. I am very proud of my record. *Smile*

Note: Puppies can be shipped without any trouble most of the time. However, there are certian days that the weather is just to Cold or to Hot...You can go to www.weather.com and check out our weather and yours to get a good idea of when to ship!!! Thanks!
