DUCKS IN LOSING SPIRAL, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
The Ducks are in the Midst of a serious losing spiral.....They lost to both Portland and Louisville on successive days....The game against Portland was ehhh...but the mental mistakes were heavy in the Louisville game....The game was going excellent, with Bobby Wren tying the score with 9 seconds to go...however, in overtime, both the newly crowned Captain Scott Ferguson and head coach Mantha did stupid things...The Ducks were caught with too many men on the ice ( a serious coaching blunder and responsibility) and Fergie did all he could to get in Naumenko's way and screen the game winning goal...this is a captain? Another thing, after kicking some serious pussycat tail, Lloyd Shaw was not used after the first period...MOE, WHY THE HELL? Lloyd could have inspired the team..this performance had me questioning Moe's leadership and the selection of Fergie as captain...only time will tell...The Detroit players have done little to support the Ducks, and I am certain we would have a better record with a combo of Naumenko and Askey, rather than Naumenko and Miller....Dangit, GET WITH IT, DUCKS!!!!
DUCKS WIN, DUCKS WIN!!!!!!
The Ducks beat Kensucky, 4-1 Saturday October 2 in the home opener...Pete Rose dropped the opening puck...Jeremy Stevenson scored two goals, Johann Daviddson had some assists, as did Marc Chouinard...Maxim Balmochnykh also scored two goals....Gregg Naumenko got the win with an impressive outing....Go Ducks.....The Ducks looked very good, rebounding from the damn poor showing in the exhibition game in Cincy...Thank goodness Miller wasn't in there, but anyhow, it was comical to see Brunett chickening out when Jeremy challenged him, what a wuss...Lloyd looked good...The Ducks still have not picked a captain, i suggest either Pete, Jeremy, or Lloyd as captain.....well, the next home game is in a couple weeks, and it was good to see the gardens filled...also, it was great not to hear that damn kensucky cowbell being rung ......GO DUCKS!!!!!!
DUCKS ON NON-LOSING TREND
The Ducks have tied the last few home games, vs. Springfield and also Kensucky...Both games were ugly, and both visiting teams proved what cheapshot artists they are...Danny Trebil was knocked into Springfield's bench in a big brawl...Against Kentucky, Burnett refused to throw down with Jeremy, waiting until his back was turned....The team is starting to gel, and Miller is actually looking good in net, maybe this observer was wrong about him....Gregg is getting sharper every game.... ALSO, special thanks to the KIRSTENS for providing me with a Jeremy Stevenson Picture for the fan club page....you all are the best....and, KENSUCKY FANS, PLEASE RECITE THE EFFECTS OF YOUR 2ND GRADE EDUCATION AT HOME, AND NOT AT GAMES...AND QUIT BRINGING THE MATING CALL COW BELL TO ATTRACT WOMEN...IT DOESNT WORK HERE.....UNTIL I CAN UPDATE AGAIN.....GO DUCKS!!!! 11/9/99
