God gave us life,
Then He gave us His Son to perserve that life.
He gave us gifts,
To use in life.
Each gift is filled with untold blessings,
but you can't receive them until you open the gift.'
You can't pass them on,
until you receive them.
If you open the gift of love,
your heart may break,
but if you sit quietly in that heartbreak,
you'll discover something new in your life,
that you never would have seen
without the pain.
If you open the gift of prayer,
you may find it time consuming
but the blessings you find in there,
can't be measured in units of time.
These are gifts to all.
Each one of us also has a special gift,
Something He gave us to fill our lives,
Something that brings us joy and peace.
He gave it to us to share with the world,
To use as a tool to share His love.
Your special gift is the one that makes you feel alive.
The one that helps you breath.
It is the way of escape,
when temptation calls your name.
It is the power of healing,
when the world turns against you.
It is your connection to God.
You can never be happy
Till you open that gift,
and pass it on.
Mine is writing.
Please let me share it with you!

Lord,
Show me the way you want me to go,
and I'll walk that way.
Teach me the words you want me to know,
as I kneel and pray.
Your joy is mine, when I let you lead,
Lord please show me how.
You point the way and I will heed,
with my head humbled bowed.
Teach me to give, to know and to share.
Your grace bestowed upon me.
I want to walk through life here on earth,
Only to glorify thee.
