Run to Him

When the world is on your shoulders,
And your friends don't understand,
The load's become to heavy,
And you need a helping hand.

When your heart is broken,
And no one seems to care,
There is One who loves you,
And will not leave you there.

So when everything is breaking,
And no comfort can be found,
When life seems not worth living,
And your world is crashing down.

Jesus stands beside you,
And His arms are open wide,
Run to Him, He'll take you in,
Within His love to hide.

               Trust
In the silence of the morning
When only God and I have risen
The clatter from within is deafening.
No distractions, no demands,
Just the solitude I've come to know.
I can hear the memories
Roaring like fire
in their ravenous attempt
to consume me.
All the unanswered questions
screeching like nails on a blackboard
piercing my heart
with unrelenting prattle.
Love screams
to remind me of everything
I've tried so hard to forget.
But it's all there
like pin pricks in my mind
thousands of them
making me sick to my stomach.
And I scream at God
For allowing me to make
such big mistakes.
Then He whispers back,
"My child,
trust in the seed you have planted."

Lord,
Show me the way you want me to go,
and I'll walk that way.
Teach me the words you want me to know,
as I kneel and pray.
Your joy is mine, when I let you lead,
Lord please show me how.
You point the way and I will heed,
with my head humbled bowed.
Teach me to give, to know and to share.
Your grace bestowed upon me.
I want to walk through life here on earth,
Only to glorify thee.

Be it through my life
Or be it through my death.
