| OBJECTIVE: Frequently Asked Questions |
| To have an FAQ, you people need to ask questions. Of course, look around the site first because you might find your answer. Anyway, just e-mail me at [email protected] if you have a question about the game. Is Metroid Prime really a first person shooter? Yes... except when you are in morph ball mode, or during a cutscene. Why is it called "Metroid Prime"? Anyone who has played any game in this series knows what a Metroid is: a flying parasite that clings onto a life form and sucks out it's energy. "Metroid Prime" is a certain kind of Metroid. I won't say any more. Play the game for yourself. How many Missile expansions, Power Bomb expansions, and energy tanks are there? There are... - 14 energy tanks, each adding 100%. End total = about 1500% energy. - 4 power bomb expansions, each with 1 bomb. End total = 8 bombs. - 49 missile expansions, each with 5 missiles. End total = 250 missiles. How do I get the [?????] item? Go to the Items page. If there is a problem, e-mail me. How do I defeat the [?????] boss? Go to the Enemies and Bosses page. If there is a problem, e-mail me. How do I use the Phazon beam? You can only use the phazon beam during the final boss fight while standing in a puddle of Phazon. How do I unlock Image Galleries? Image Gallery #1 - Download 50% of all log book scans. Image Gallery #2 - Download 100% of all log book scans. Image Gallery #3 - Complete the game on Hard mode. Image Gallery #4 - Complete 100% of the game by collecting ALL items. How do I unlock Hard Mode? Simply complete the game once. How do I get the best ending? You get the best ending by completing 100% of the game. The percentage you have completed so far is shown near your save file in the game. How do I complete 100% of the game? Complete 100% of the game by collecting ALL of the items in the game. Do log book scans determine which ending I get or the game percentage? NO! The Game Endings depend on your percentage, which is completely ITEM based.. Is there any reason to scan things? Well, yes. Scanning bosses and other enemies will tell you how to beat them. Also, if you scan everything, you get image galleries. 50% of all scans gives you Image Gallery 1, and 100% of all scans gives you Image Gallery 2. Can I do a double bomb jump? Yes. First, drop a bomb. Right before it explodes, drop another, and then drop another when you are at the highest point of your first jump. When you hit the ground, the second bomb will explode, and then the third will blast you even higher. How many items are there to collect? There are exactly 100 items, so each is worth 1% of the game completion. Instead of counting, just check out my items page and see what you need. When does Metroid Prime take place? Right after the original Metroid, but before Metroid 2 and 3. If you kill Ridley in Metroid, and then Meta-Ridley blows up in Metroid Prime, then why is Ridley back again in Metroid III? See the storyline page. Is Metroid Fusion a sequel / prequel to Metroid Prime? Metroid Prime and Fusion are almost unrelated. It won't hurt to play one and not play the other... don't worry about it. Nintendo released both at the same time hoping that people would buy both consoles and both games just to get in on the storyline... but no. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TOP SECRET~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are the three endings to the game? Ending #1: Metroid Prime is defeated. With it's last ounce of strength it grabs Samus and steals her Phazon suit. The crater begins to explode. Samus calls her ship. Once aboard, you can see Samus start to take off her helmet, and then it fades out. [CREDITS] Ending #2: Same as Ending #1, but you see Samus' face at the end as she stares down to the wreckage of what was the Chozo Temple. Then, her ships speeds off into the sky. [CREDITS] Ending #3: Same as Ending #2. However, there is something more after the credits. There is a blob of Phazon where Metroid Prime was. After a few seconds a hand that looks like your phazon suit comes out of the blob, and it has an eye on the back of it. |
