Main Weapons

Beam Weapons:
~Wave Beam: Fight the Sheegoth in Phendrana Drifts after getting Space Jump boots.
~Ice Beam: Room near Chozo Ruins - Reflecting Pool.
~Plasma Beam: Room beyond highest door in Magmoor Caverns - Geothermal Core.
~Charge Beam: Chozo Ruins - Watery Hall.  Enables you to charge up beam weapons.

Missile Launcher: Chozo Ruins - Hive Totem.  Enables you to fire missiles.
~Missile Combos: Enable you to fire a powerful attack by charging the beam and pressing Y.
~~Super Missile: Phendrana Drifts - Observatory.
~~Wavebuster: Chozo Ruins - Tower of Light.
~~Ice Spreader: Magmoor Caverns - Shore Tunnel.
~~Flamethrower: Phazon Mines - Mine Security Station.

Morph Ball: Chozo Ruins - Ruined Shrine.  Enables you to roll up into a ball and get into small spaces.
~Morph Ball Bomb: Chozo Ruins - Burn Dome.  Enables you to drop bombs in Morph Ball Mode.
~Boost Ball: Phendrana Drifts - Phendrana Canyon.  Enables you to get a speed boost in Ball mode.
~Spiderball: Phendrana Drifts - Quarantine Cave.  Enables you to climb metal tracks in Ball mode.
~Power Bomb: Phazon Mines - Central Dynamo.  Enables you to drop huge bombs in Ball mode.

Suits:
~Varia Suit: Chozo Ruins - Sunchamber.  Enables you to withstand extreme heat.
~Gravity Suit: Phendrana Drifts - Gravity Chamber.  Enables you to move freely under water.
~Phazon Suit: Phazon Mines - Elite Quarters.  Enables you to walk through Phazon.

Visors:
~Thermal Visor: Phendrana Drifts - Research Core.  Enables you to see heat sources.
~X-Ray Visor: Tallon Overworld - Life Grove.  Enables you to see invisible objects and some enemies.

Other:
~Grapple Beam: In Phazon Mines - Ore Processing, go though one of the top doors.  Enables you to use grapple points to swing from one place to another.
~Space Jump Boots: Tallon Overworld - Landing Site; elevated door, boost up ramp at canyon and bomb wall. These boots let samus double-jump.

Energy Tanks:
(In alphabetical order by room, separated by region)

Raises maximum energy, or HP, by 100.
14 expansions, total 1500 energy.

Tallon Overworld

Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma: Use a Missile on the broken door.

Hydro Access Tunnel: You need to keep jumping with bombs up one of the tall tunnels and you can get it.  It takes practice to get the timing right, but it is possible to jump all the way up.

Chozo Ruins

Furnace: You must have the Morph Ball Bombs.  Make your way
through the Energy Core, powering up the platforms, then continue on.

Main Plaza: Take the path from the vault to the main plaza.  It's right there.

Hall of the Elders: Open the white morph ball slot with the ice beam and go back into the statue's hands.

Training Chamber: You need the Grapple Beam.  Bomb a switch in the halfpipe to lower an elevator.

Transport Access North: It's right past where you get the missiles.

Magmoor Caverns

Magmoor Workstation: Find the power conduits and activate them with the wave beam.  Then drop down into the hole and roll to where the lava is safe to roll on.  Scan a computer to cool more lava.  Now go THERE, and do it again.  The next place the lava cool is where the energy tank is.

Transport Tunnel A: You need to double bomb jump to get the energy tank in here.  It isn't that hard to find.

Phendrana Drifts

Research Lab Aether: Blow up a tank with a missile.  Really Easy.

Ruined Courtyard: Fill the area with water using the morph ball slot, and hop across the platforms to a tunnel.  Roll through and... YAY!  An energy tank!

Transport Access: Melt ice on the wall and go right on in.

Phazon Mines

Processing Center Access: Defeat the Omega Pirate.

Ventilation Shaft: Lay a Power Bomb near the grate at the end
of this shaft.  Scan the console on the other side and the Plated Puffers
will be pulled into the grate and will blow it up.

Power Bomb Expansions:

Raise maximum power bomb storage by 1.
4 expansions, total 8 power bombs.

Magmoor Caverns - Warrior Shrine: Set a power bomb near the statue.

Chozo Ruins - Magma Pool: Lay a bomb on the weak wall with the vines on it.

Phendrana Drifts - Ice Ruins West: On top of one of the buildings, bust open some ice with the plasma beam.

Phendrana Drifts - Security Cave: At the top of Phendrana's Edge, roll into this cave.

Missile Expansions:

Raises maximum missile storage by 5.
49 expansions, total 250 missiles.

Tallon Overworld

Arbor Chamber: Go to the top of the Root Cave using the X-Ray visor and the Grapple beam and enter the red door to go into the Arbor Chamber.

Biohazard Containment: Scan the containment tanks and blow open the right one with a Super Missile.

Frigate Crash Site: You need double jump and gravity suit.  Jump on top of the underwater roots and you should be able to see it.

Great Tree Chamber: Use the X-Ray visor to look for an invisible platform, so you can reach the blue door.

Landing Site: Small hole behind your ship.

Life Grove Tunnel: Use the half pipe and power-bomb the floor at the very top.

Root Cave: Look for invisible platforms and holes with the X-Ray visor.

Overgrown Cavern: To get there, take the elevator to Tallon Overworld East from Chozo Ruins.

Transport Tunnel B: Below the Bridge.

Chozo Ruins

Burn Dome: Bomb weak part of the wall near the floor.

Crossway: Bomb the object on the wall, and scan what was behind it.  Boost up to the new spiderball track and then hit the switch with a bomb.  Then go to the other spiderball track and hit another switch.  Catch the elevator and then roll across the track.

Dynamo: Use the Spiderball Track in here.

Dynamo: From the Watery Hall, bomb the plug in the hole near the Charge Beam and use a missile on the weak wall in here.

Furnace: Blow up the floor with a power-bomb and use the half-pipe underneath to get up to the spiderball track.

Gathering Hall: Go up to the highest door here, and then use the space jump boots to get above it, then blow up the weak wall section.

Main Plaza: Get to the upper part by way of the Magma Pool.  Swing across with the grapple beam.

Main Plaza: Roll up the half pipe.

Main Plaza: On the tree, shoot a super missile at the notch sticking out.  Then find a higher place so you can jump into the hole you made.

Ruined Fountain: Morph into a ball and go inside the fountain.  It will blast you up to a spiderball track.

Ruined Gallery: Use missile on weak wall near floor

Ruined Gallery: Use bombs to hop into one of the holes in the wall.

Ruined Nursery: There's a little "morph ball maze" on the wall.  You need bombs.

Ruined Shrine: Bomb the plug on the hole near the floor.

Ruined Shrine: Roll up the half pipe.

Training Chamber Access: There are some leaves near the floor covering a secret tunnel.  Just roll through.

Vault: Bomb jump up to the locks on the gate and open them with bombs.

Watery Hall: You need gravity suit.  There's an underwater tunnel you can go through.

Watery Hall Access: Use missile on brick wall near the water.

Magmoor Caverns

Fiery Shores: Go up to the little railing near the ceiling and roll across it.

Storage Cavern: To get there you need to go beneath the floor in the Triclops Pit.

Triclops Pit: Near the entrance use the X-Ray visor to look for platforms and then use a super missile to blow up a pillar.

Phendrana Drifts


Frost Cave: Use the grapple beam on the glider and swing over to where the crates are.  Look up and blast the Stalactite, which will crash through the ice.  Now go for a swim.

Gravity Chamber: Destroy some icicles with the plasma beam to reveal a grapple point and swing across to a ledge.

Ice Ruins East: Use the Spider Ball on a magnetic track somewhere in here.

Ice Ruins East: Another wall of ice near the bottom...

Phendrana Shorelines: Blow up the thing on the wall, and scan what was behind it and a spiderball track should open.

Phendrana Shorelines: Melt a wall of ice.  Simple...

Quarantine Monitor: Go to the Quarantine Cave, use the Spider Ball track, then use the grapple beam to go to the other ledge and enter the Quarantine Monitor.

Research Lab Aether: At the top there are more railings to roll across... don't fall

Research Lab Hydra: Destroy the Cordite pillar with a Super Missile.

Phazon Mines

Elite Research: Position the cannon so it points left and fire it.

Elite Control Access: Shoot a box near a vent to bust the vent open.

Fungal Hall Access: At the bottom of the shaft, roll under the big mushroom with the morph ball.

Fungal Hall B: Power-bomb a patch of mushrooms.

Main Quarry: Find the power conduit, activate it, and use a computer to move the crane.  Now climb the spiderball track.

Metroid Quarantine A: After hopping across the invisible platforms, go near the spiderball track and power bomb a couple walls.  Then there's another spiderball track and another invisible platform to deal with.

Metroid Quarantine B: Blow up a canister with a Super Missile.

Phazon Processing Center: Use the X-Ray visor to look for invisible platforms.  Use them to get to a ledge, which you then need to power-bomb.

Security Access A: Use a power bomb to blow a hole in a weak wall section.

Chozo Artifacts:
(In order of appearance)


Artifact of Truth: [need missiles] Head for the door at the landing site near the waterfall and blow up the missile door.  Go through the next few rooms until you get to the Artifact Temple where you find the first artifact and hints to find the others.

Artifact of Strength: [need space jump boots] In Magmoor Caverns - Monitor Station, go to the bridge that leads to the Phendrana Transport, jump to the bridge above that.  Use the spinner to move the bridge and make your way to the highest door in here.  You will find yourself in a room with a big statue holding the artifact of Strength.

Artifact of Nature: [need super missiles] Go to Magmoor Caverns - Lava Lake and blow up a central pillar with a super missile.

Artifact of Wild: [need spiderball] Return to the Sun Tower and scan the four runes (two behind pillars, two behind statues) and roll up the spiderball track.  Make your way to the Sunchamber and fight some Chozo Ghosts and then grab the artifact off of the dead Flaahgra.

Artifact of Lifegiver: [need gravity suit] Go to the Tower of Light by way of the Ruined Shrine.  Jump into the water at the Tower of Light and go through the underwater door.

Artifact of Chozo: [need power bombs] Go to the Life Grove by way of the Great Tree Hall.  Look for the deep water in the Life Grove and bomb the little circle on the floor.  When the pillar raises, roll into the spinner on the pillar and use the boost ball.  When the next part raises, you can jump onto the pillar from higher land and get to the Artifact.

Artifact of Warrior: [need power bombs] Go to Phazon Mines - Elite Research and bomb the tank on the bottom.  Defeat the pirate to get the artifact.

Artifact of Sun: [need plasma beam] Go to Phendrana Drifts - Chozo Ice Temple and thaw the statue's hands with the plasma beam.  Go into its hands and morph into a ball to open a new passage...

Artifact of Elder: [need plasma beam] Go to Phendrana Drifts - Control Tower.  In one of the small towers (above the doors) there are boxes in front of a frozen window.  Blow up the boxes.  Then, thaw out the ice with the plasma beam, and then shoot a missile at the fuel tanks on the nearby tower.  When it crashes there will be a hole to roll into, and the artifact will be within your grasp.

Artifact of Spirit: [need plasma beam] In Phendrana's Edge, climb and swing up to a platform on the wall that has ice on it.  Check the wall with thermal goggles to make sure this is the right one; you will be able to see a door behind the wall if it is.  Set a power bomb and open the red door.

Artifact of World: [need plasma beam] In the Hall of the Elders (Chozo Ruins), shoot the red morph ball slot with the plasma beam and bomb it.  A door will open under the statue which leads to the Artifact of World.

Artifact of Newborn: [phazon suit seriously reccomended] Roll through the part of this tunnel that is covered with phazon and rocks.  Bomb the rocks out of your way until you get to the artifact.
