About the 1988 TMC RTS
These buses are powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92 with and Allison Voith 731D Transmission. They were the first TMC RTS to be delivered to MTA. all of these coaches have the exhaust under the bumper. The run on diesel and always have. They a great and durable buses. MTA is slowly retiering the RTS for new low-floor coaches. These buses take in most of the graffiti since their are no on-board cameras like the 1998 and up buses. These coaches have been in service for more than 14 years. |
