Meteoric Shipyards

Until further notice (probably never) Meteoric Ship Yards, a division of Meteoric Mining, has suspended production on the Marathon Class and Runner Class of Jump 5 starships.  If you still want to see the original ad for the Runner class, look here.

Meanwhile, this page will be used to showcase pictures I have created usingP the free 3D rendering program POV-Ray .
Some of these pictures have appeared as wallpaper on my computers, and are created at either 800x600 pixels or 1280x1024 pixels (the sizes of my home display and my work display, respectively).

Feel free to use these pictures in noncommercial applications.

The Albatross (From the Vincent Price movie Master of the World,  from the Jules Verne novel Clipper of the Clouds)
And other picture of it: Low over a garden.

The Valley Forge, from the movie Silent Running 1280x1024 version and 800x600 version (and an image of the movie model)
And here's a movie made of the three ships flying by the camera. (Warning: about 5 M)
And a 3 M close flyby of one of the ships.)

A Forest

The following scene was created for a "Shortest code contest."  It was created with less than 500 characters.

The Albatross over a garden An idea for a story I'd like to write -- a steampunk airship flying over a garden.

The Albatross vs. the slaver ship Another scene from my story (not written yet) -- two steampunk airships closing for battle.

The War of the Worlds for my OTR friends: Tripods attack a city!

Tim, the Tentacle Monster, from Rorscharchblot's story Thief, not currently available outside of his Yahoo group, CaerAzkaban. Tim in Ron Jeremy's Dungeon. And here's Tim the Tentacle Monster in his new, red Auror robe, er, outfit on patrol on Diagon Alley. Tim on Diagon Alley.
