Way back in 1993, DiC and Babhot productions released the pilot episode of the very first animated series of Sonic the hedgehog. This episode: 'The Super Special Sonic Search and Smash squad', showed the appearance of two new Badniks: Scratch and Grounder. It also introduced the guy who would play the voice of Sonic for at least another 3 series: Jaleel White, who gave Sonic the 'I'm waiting' trademark saying. It also gave Robotnik a total makeover from the image he had before, and an English accent.(Which apparently makes him sound nastier. But as a Brit myself, I beg to differ...)
And the first series was born! Probably the most popular series, overall, as there were over 50 cartoons made...
