Who was Jesus?
Jesus is who Christians believe is the Messiah prophecised in the Old Testament. He was born of Mary, a virgin, around the beginning of the A.D. time period. He was crucified between 30 and 33 A.D. His followers claimed he was resurrected and appeared to them.
The Christians believe Jesus to be part of the Trinity of God. The trinity consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe that Jesus had to die for our sins in order for us to exist with God in heaven, as all sins must be punished.
