Marta Pearl Beary:  Well, my stars!  I can hardly believe my eyes.  There are four more menagerie-size chairs in the living room.  Four.  It has only been two months since Ms. Mary bought the first two chairs.  I take back what I said before about Ms. Mary not being a shopper.  Four chairs.

KatieBear:  You take back all of what you said?

BettyBear
:  It's really 3 chairs and a bench.

Francisco:  And two of the chairs are rocking chairs.

Amber:  And this time it was only stuff to sit on, no sweater.

Marta Pearl Beary:  You're missing the whole point here.  Ms. Mary -- who has been disappointingly lacking in the typical female interest in shopping -- has actually been shopping for menagerie furniture twice in two months.  And it hasn't been just one piece each time; it was two the first time and four this time.  Good heavens!  What next?

Amber:  I think you probably mean "How many next?"

Marta Pearl Beary:  That, too!

Francisco:  So let's show everyone the bench and the chair and the two rocking chairs.
KatieBear:  Did she say where she bought these?

BettyBear:  It was the place where she bought Joe's sweater, not the place where she found the other chairs.

Bitsy:  Can we do the three bears thing again like before?

Amber:  That was 2 chairs and no little girl and lots of bears, and you didn't like that.

Bitsy:  I promise I'll like it this time.  Can we do it?

Francisco:  I want to go right to the part where we put the ones of us that look like the right size in the chairs and see if we guessed right.

Bitsy:  Can I help guess?

Marta Pearl Beary:  Of course.  It will take all of us together to figure this out.  Four chairs!

Bitsy:  KatieBear and Francisco and BettyBear and Marta Pearl Beary are too small.  Amber might fit. I might, too, but I want to stay sitting right here with Hightop's chin on the top of my head.

Amber:  I think I'm a little small, but I'll try them on.  Then we'll know how much bigger the right sitter needs to be.  Can somebody give me a boost up?  Lacey and Curly Brown, you get off the computer and come here to try on these chairs, too.  You can't miss all the fun this time.

KatieBear:  Shhhhh.  We don't want to wake up Ms. Mary.

Lambertville Larry:  Look at us in the chairs!  We look pretty good!  I want a name like my buddy, J.R.  Can we call me "L.L."?

I Love L.A
.:  "L.L." sounds close to "LA-LA" and Los Angeles is sometimes called "La-La Land."   I don't think you look like a la-la bear.  But you do look like the lucky bear you are.
