Patriot Bear SIR:  In an attempt to make everyone happy at least once, we are going to have a different background color for each page.  We will start at the upper left of the color table and go left to right on each row.  HARRUMPH!   Lacey and Curly Brown have volunteered to start out with the typing -- like court reporters (we'll explain that later, Vegas) -- so there's no line for the keyboard and later on we'll know who said what.

Mr. Vegas:  Oh, I wanted to be the one to write right away.  But I forgot what I was going to say.  My little puffy blue feet are just dancing and prancing and don't know what keys to step on.  I have to go back to the bookshelf and think.  Then Lacey and Curly Brown can write for me.

Sam:  Since this all started with the new photographs, it would be a good idea to clue everyone in on how this all came about.  Any volunteers?

Marta Pearl Beary:  I'll explain from the very beginning.  You see, Ms. Mary has a special outfit she wears when she is working on menagerie business.  We are very proud of her for making a special effort to please us.  We wanted to take her picture while she was dressed up, but she said she'd rather not impose herself on our special pages, so we just took a picture of her work apron and work hat.  Now we have to get the picture on this page.
Nanette DuBeary:  That's way too far back.  Tell about the rocking chair!  That little rocking chair belonged to Ms. Mary when she was a toddler and just the right size to sit in it.  Now, it is just the right size for Millennium!  We all wanted to sit in it and have our pictures taken, so Ms. Mary said she might as well put the new photos on our ID pages.

Marta Pearl Beary:  What a project that turned out to be!  I hadn't realized how difficult it would be to get family members to sit still and look at the camera.  When we anticipate the flash, we close our eyes, and then the photograph has to be retaken.  And, sometimes, retaken and retaken.  Some of the littlest members of the family had to sit on an eraser to keep them from falling backward off the chair because they weren't tall enough for the backrest to do any good.

Nanette DuBeary:  If you look carefully at the new pictures, you can tell how big -- or how small -- the members of our family are.  We have to get the rocking chair picture on this page, too.
Momma:  What a flurry of brushing and fluffing and straightening this photo session set off.  My goodness!  So many ribbons needed tying and scarves needed straightening.  And ears to scrub!

Alice B. Patchberry:  Don't forget all the hats that had to be set at just the right angle.  We are a pretty spiffy bunch when we decide to all look our best at the same time.

Poppa:  Well, now, I think we look pretty spiffy all the time.  There might be a little dust once in a while or a bad fur day for someone or a limp feather here or there, but -- for the most part -- you won't find a better-looking family anywhere, even if I do say so myself.  And I do say so.

Mr Vegas:  I remembered!  I remembered!  I wanted to tell everyone that Ms. Mary took pictures of us on the bookshelves so everyone could see what we look like all together.  Can we put the pictures on our pages?  Can we?  Oh, goody!  Who knows how to get them on here?

Wise Owl:  I'm not much for typing or prancing on keyboards; however, I'll be glad to instruct someone on how to fly through the computer process of getting pictures uploaded onto our pages.

Mr. Vegas:  What about that thing where people click on our names and our pictures pop up?

Wise Owl:  Yes, Vegas, we can do that, too.
