| Step 5 : Now that the rear discs are assembled, put the rearend back in the car and hook up your parking brake cables. They just pop right into the brackets and then I used a tie wrap (that's what the Cadillac used - not sure if that was stock, but should be fine) to keep them held onto the parking brake lever. |

| It is very important to get your parking brake adjusted correctly (initially). It will be self adjusting after installation ( internal clutching system ). With the rotors lugged onto the hub and calipers and pads all assembled, use the parking brake lever or a rachet and socket to turn the parking brake lever nut towards the way the parking brake will be pulling on it to tighten it up. With the lever installed and resting on the stop, the rotor should turn freely. When the parking brake lever is pulled, the rotor should be tight. This adjustment must be correct, or your caliper piston will be to far away from the rotor to do any braking (ie....long or no brake pedal because too much volume needed to move piston out). Also make sure to adjust your parking brake cable so when released, the parking brake lever rests on the stops. Step 6 : Now to the Master Cylinder. Again, there are a few ways to go here. I'll show you what I did. I used a 95 Crown Victoria police car 4WDB (1.25" bore) MC. It fits my booster perfectly and I probably didnt even need to adjust my booster rod any (but I did later on trying to troubleshoot air in the rear calipers - I'll detail that later!) It is a tad longer than the original disc/drum MC, but still barely fits before touching the shock tower. This allowable space may be different on your car, so take some measurements. The MC is .............. long) Also, its lines come out on the engine side. And the plastic reservoir is a little bit tilted for this application. Not a big deal. Here are some pics of the MC. |

| This is the drivers side of the MC. The bolts are the original mounting points on the 95 Crown Vic. Not used on this application. | ||||||||||||||||||
