B: Fill out the binder reminder (to keep a record of personal goals)
C: Explain the process to the sixth graders
D: Assist them in developing their own academic goals
E: Complete the reflection in site discussion board
IV. Using the Binder Reminder Effectively
A: Review effective uses of the binder reminder (online instructions including graphics)
B: Fill in the binder reminder as an example
C: Teach sixth graders effective uses of Binder Reminder
D: Brainstorm new uses for the binder reminder (i.e. parent signatures,
highlighting, etc.) and record responses in site discussion board.
V. Study Habits
A: Explore the links on the website containing information on effective study habits
B: Jigsaw activity: Become an expert in one of the areas described.
C: Teach the other mentors in the group
D: Reflection in Mentor Folder: Describe an assignment that you completed habits recently in which you could have used one of the study skills you learned and how.
VI. Mentor Meeting
