| Silent Inspiration In the Caf, on the boulevard a young woman and a younger man are sitting in opposite corners. Facing the street intently occupied, both ignore the coffee before them. He writes in his journal. She reads her book. He pauses to look at the sky. He looks sad. He drops the pen and looks at his coffee mug, a print of Monet encasing cold Latte. He closes his journal. The girl puts down her book, and starts to tap her nails impatiently, and does not stop until he picks up his pen again. Silent acts of friendship happen quickly like pretty fishes kissing. |
